The Project Management Club of the University of Vavuniya successfully organized a workshop on “Legal Framework – Contract Law” on 11th February 2026 for second-year students. The session, led by Attorney-at-Law Ms. Janani Iyyathurai, provided practical knowledge on essential contract principles, avoiding legal risks, and understanding legal precedents in project agreements. The workshop covered key areas including the fundamentals of contracts, legal risks in project agreements, and the significance of legal precedents in professional practice. The session provided students with practical exposure to legal aspects associated with project agreements and encouraged active participation and discussion. It also helped bridge the gap between theoretical learning and real-world professional application. The workshop served as a valuable platform for enhancing students’ legal awareness and equipping them with knowledge beneficial for their future careers in project management.
