Bachelor of Business Management Honours in Accounting and Finance
On successful completion of Bachelor of Business Management Honours in Accounting and Finance Degree, the graduates will be able to:

PLO 01: Identify the subject knowledge of the core aspects of accounting and finance.
PLO 02: Apply their in-depth practical knowledge in the context book- keeping, accounting, corporate reporting, corporate governance, taxation, auditing and the wide discipline of finance to a practical problem.
PLO 03: Demonstrate the regulations applicable for a financial and corporate reporting process, analyze the financial and non-financial information, apply Sri Lanka Accounting Standards and Sri Lanka Financial Reporting Standards when preparing the complete set of financial statements, prepare the budgets and management reports, apply financial models and make rational financial and investment decisions and communicate accordingly.
PLO 04: Express teamwork ability and group cohesiveness, leadership skills and styles, in their working places towards its success.
PLO 05: Develop problem-solving skills by developing own research ideas as original in the field of accounting and finance, perform sound inferences and summarize and interpret the main research findings at an expert level. And apply the forecasting skills to predict the financial-related issues.
PLO 06: Formulate judgments and assumptions through their critical thinking abilities and ability to identify the new opportunities and entrepreneurship for setup business through their creative thinking.
PLO 07: Illustrate the financial data set in graphs, charts, and tables comprehensively, interpret the accounting ratios and perform financial statement analysis for management decision making.
PLO 08: Relate their experiences learned throughout the internship in their workplaces and assess social, economic and environmental impact while making the solutions to the real financial issues and actively engage in community outreach programs and corporate social responsibility programs and create a professional network in their working place at the corporate level.
PLO 09: Demonstrate the various changes, emerging trends and contemporary issues in the field of accounting and finance, adopt the usage of computerized accounting system in the working places.
PLO 10: Develop a bridge between the lessons learned through the degree program in their university life and work/personal life incorporating their attitudes, values and professionalism.
PLO 11: Combine their commitments and responsibilities to professional ethics in the accounting and finance field through their behaviour with good virtues and values at professional level.
PLO 12: Support and develop lifelong continuous learning in the accounting and finance profession.
