Welcome to the Department of Finance and Accountancy, Faculty of Business Studies, University of Vavuniya, Sri Lanka. The Department of Finance and Accountancy offers two-degree programmes for undergraduates interested in pursuing their studies the Bachelor of Business Management Honours in Accounting and Finance and Bachelor of Business Management Honours in Banking and Insurance.
Bachelor of Business Management Honours in Accounting and Finance has specially been designed to provide the graduates with academic and professional competencies and a sound theoretical background and practical skills for a successful career in Accounting and Finance. The objective of the degree programme is to produce capable accounting and finance graduates who are academically qualified and trained in accordance with the current job market requirements.
A new degree programme on Bachelor of Business Management Honours in Banking and Insurance has also introduced by the faculty recently which was approved by the UGC. Now Faculty initiates to establish a new department on Department of Banking and Insurance with the introduction of new degree programme on Bachelor of Business Management Honours in Banking and Insurance.
Both the academic degree programmes are conducted by well-qualified and experienced academic staff panel in the expertise of accounting, finance, banking and insurance.
