Biography
Mr. G.R.M. Gamlath is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Finance and Accountancy at the Faculty of Business Studies, University of Vavuniya, Sri Lanka. With a robust academic foundation, Mr. Gamlath has completed a PhD in Financial Management from the University of Jaffna, Sri Lanka, and is currently in the final stages of the evaluation process, awaiting the viva voce presentation. Mr. Gamlath’s expertise spans finance, accounting, and related fields. As a Fellow Member of the Association of Public Finance Accountants of Sri Lanka (APFASL), the Public Sector Wing of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka, and an Academic Member of the Sri Lanka Finance Association, Mr. Gamlath has demonstrated a commitment to advancing financial management practices and public finance standards. In his role at the University of Vavuniya, Mr. Gamlath has actively engaged in research, with a focus on areas such as financial management, supply chain integration, and the influence of dynamic capabilities, social exchange, and contingency theories on organizational performance. He has also made substantial contributions to academic and social initiatives within the university, reflecting his dedication to student development and academic excellence. Mr. Gamlath’s commitment to his profession extends beyond academia. He serves as a member of the selection committee for the best research papers at the cooperative research symposium organized by the National Institute of Cooperative Development in Polgolla, Sri Lanka. His contributions to the fields of finance, banking, insurance, project management, and project governance highlight his passion for applying his knowledge to advance the nation’s financial and business sectors.

    8.     I performed as a volunteer expert at a workshop held on 23th January 2019 to develop a way forward plan for tertiary and vocational education sector by the Tertiary and Educational Commission in Colombo.
