The first Undergraduate Research Symposium on Project Management (URSPM)- 2024 was held on the 2nd of August 2024. The symposium is organized by the Department of Project Management collaborating with USAID, Safe Foundation, Project Management Institute, and Centre for Evaluation. The symposium theme is “Navigating Project Complexity,” and it targets undergraduate students in Project Management, Risk and Disaster Management, Supply Chain Management, and Business Management. Several symposium tracks include project leadership, risk management, sustainable project management, and disaster management. The best research presenters were awarded in each track.
The event features keynote speakers including Mr. Saman Kandanearachchi (President, PMI Sri Lanka), Dr. Madhu Fernando (CEO PMI Sri Lanka), and Mr. M.F. Marikkar (Secretary General, Rahama/ FORUT). It also included a panel discussion moderated by Prof. Y. Nanthagopan and experts from various sectors.
