Biography

Mrs. Thurkka Thayamugan is an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Project Management at the University of Vavuniya’s Faculty of Business Studies, Sri Lanka. She holds a Bachelor of Business Management (Honours) in Project Management, Second Class Upper Division, from the University of Vavuniya.

Her practical experience includes an internship at the Divisional Secretariat, Navithanveli, where she specialized in Artificial Intelligence applications in projects; initiating the Eco Tourism and Boatyard project at Kittangi Bridge; contributing to proposal write-ups for government projects; and serving as a tutor at Sakthi Educational Institute. During her studies, she completed two research projects and a capstone project. With expertise in Agile methodologies and responsible project management aligned with SDGs, she is passionate about innovative teaching through interactive demos, consultancy cells, and PMI-aligned curricula to boost student employability in business and development sectors.
