Department of Project Management is a new arrival to the Faculty of Business Studies (FBS) with a gazette announcement on the 22nd of March 2021 by the Ministry of Education. The Project Management Degree program was run by the former Department of Economics and Management established in 1997, from 2015. This fresh DPM has three permanent senior academics and two assistant lecturers. The Project Management degree programme that was initially launched as a three-year Bachelor of Business Management in Project Management degree with the intake of students for the academic year 2014/2015 has been upgraded as a four-year Bachelor of Business Management Honors in Project Management from the academic year 2017/2018.
The FBS is proud to be the only Faculty running a degree program on the Island. The DPM collaborates with sister departments such as Marketing, Management & Entrepreneurship, HRM, Business Economics, Finance & Accountancy, and English Language Teaching to achieve its objectives. It also designs industry networks, professional body collaborations, and partnerships with national & foreign universities. Graduates are equipped for public, private, and NGO employment including positions like Project Lead, Project Officer, Monitoring & Evaluation Officer, and more.
