Biography

Professor T. Mangaleswaran is a senior academic in Human Resource Management attached to the Department of Human Resource Management, Faculty of Business Studies, University of Vavuniya. With over two decades of experience in higher education, he has contributed extensively to teaching, research, and academic leadership in Sri Lanka.

He obtained his PhD in Human Resource Management from the University of Madras under the Commonwealth Scholarship programme. He also holds an MBA with high distinction from the University of Peradeniya and a BBA from the University of Jaffna.

Professor Mangaleswaran has held several key leadership roles including Founder Vice Chancellor of the University of Vavuniya (2021–2024) and Rector of the Vavuniya Campus, University of Jaffna. He has also served as Dean and Head of Department, demonstrating strong expertise in academic administration and governance.

His research spans Human Resource Management, Organizational Behaviour, Entrepreneurship, and Project Management. He has published widely and supervised numerous undergraduate and postgraduate research projects.

Beyond academia, he has worked as a consultant for international organizations such as ILO, UNDP, World Vision, and Oxfam, contributing to HR systems development and post-conflict capacity building initiatives.
