Biography

Prof. Thampoe Mangaleswaran is a Professor in Human Resource Management at the University of Vavuniya.
He obtained his BBA from the University of Jaffna, an MBA from the University of Peradeniya, and a Ph.D. in Human Resource Management from the University of Madras in 2007.
He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM) of Sri Lanka.

His academic career began as a Temporary Lecturer at the South Eastern University of Sri Lanka from 1997 to 1999. In 1999, he joined the Vavuniya Campus of the University of Jaffna as a Probationary Lecturer. He has held various administrative roles, including Head of the Department (2007–2010), Dean of the Faculty of Business Studies (2010–2013), Rector of the Vavuniya Campus (2015–2021), and served as the Founder Vice-Chancellor of the University of Vavuniya from 2021 to 2024.
