The HRM Alumni of the Department of Human Resource Management, Faculty of Business Studies, University of Vavuniya, organized a Virtual Webinar titled “Welcome to the Reality: Preparing for Your Career Journey” on 06th February 2026 at 6.00 p.m. via Zoom. The session was conducted by Mr. Ansaf Ahamed, Recruitment Supervisor at Medgulf Construction Company W.L.L, Doha, Qatar, and was open to all students of the University of Vavuniya.
During the webinar, Mr. Ansaf Ahamed provided valuable insights into the realities of the corporate world and emphasized the importance of preparing strategically for one’s career journey. He shared practical guidance on understanding workplace expectations, developing industry-relevant skills, adapting to organizational culture, and maintaining professional discipline. The session also highlighted the significance of continuous learning, personal branding, and building confidence to face competitive job markets.
Drawing from his professional experience in international recruitment, the resource person discussed real-world challenges and opportunities in the employment sector, particularly in the Middle Eastern context.
