Career Guidance Seminar

The Department of Human Resource Management, Faculty of Business Studies, University of Vavuniya, organized a Career Guidance Seminar on 12th February 2026 from 10.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. The session was conducted by Mr. Pujitha Senaratne, who shared valuable knowledge and practical guidance regarding career development.

During the seminar, he provided detailed guidance on CV preparation, including how to structure a professional CV, highlight skills and achievements, and avoid common mistakes. He also explained the importance of creating and maintaining a strong LinkedIn profile, building professional networks, and presenting oneself effectively in the digital job market.

Furthermore, the session covered career path planning, identifying individual strengths, improving soft skills, and preparing for interviews. The resource person shared his personal career experiences, including challenges and lessons learned, which motivated students to stay confident and focused on their future goals.
