The Department of Business Economics, Faculty of Business Studies, University of Vavuniya, successfully organized the 2nd Undergraduate Research Symposium on Business Economics (URSBE-2026) on 9th July 2026 at the Faculty of Business Studies under the theme “The Invisible Hand in a Digital World.”
Continuing the academic tradition established through the inaugural symposium, URSBE-2026 provided a valuable platform for undergraduate students to present their research findings, exchange ideas, and engage in scholarly discussions on contemporary economic issues in an increasingly digitalized world.
The keynote address was delivered by Dr. A. V. K. Madhavie, Senior Lecturer (Grade I), Department of Economics and Statistics, University of Peradeniya. In her address, she shared valuable insights into the evolving nature of algorithmic markets and digital transformation, while highlighting the importance of research, innovation, and strategic thinking in shaping future economic development.
