The Centre for Distance and Continuing Education (CDCE), University of Vavuniya, conducted an Educational Guidance Programme for 60 Advanced Level students from Mn/Thalaimannar Pier G.M.M. School on 31st July 2026 at the Faculty of Applied Science, University of Vavuniya.

The programme was organized by the Mannar Divisional Secretariat and conducted through the Centre for Distance and Continuing Education (CDCE), University of Vavuniya, and was coordinated by Mr. A. Sebarajah, Instructor in English Grade II, Department of English Language Teaching, with the objective of providing guidance on higher education and vocational education opportunities and supporting students in making informed decisions about their educational and career pathways.

The programme was attended by Dr. N. Ravinthirakumaran, Director, CDCE; Prof. G. Jeyaseelan, Head, Department of English Language Teaching; Mr. N. Edwin Linosh, Head, Department of Physical Science; Dr. S. Shanmugathasan, Librarian; Mr. P. Sasitharan, Director of Career Guidance; Ms. Vithursana, Assistant Registrar, CDCE; a Subject Officer from the Mannar Divisional Secretariat, and four teachers from the school.
