{"id":2269,"date":"2026-08-07T05:34:30","date_gmt":"2026-08-07T05:34:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fbs.vau.ac.lk\/pm\/?p=2269"},"modified":"2026-08-07T05:35:01","modified_gmt":"2026-08-07T05:35:01","slug":"fund-raising-3-setting-business-mall-sed-mini-fair","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fbs.vau.ac.lk\/pm\/2026\/08\/07\/fund-raising-3-setting-business-mall-sed-mini-fair\/","title":{"rendered":"Fund Raising 3 &#8211; Setting Business Mall &#8211; SED Mini Fair"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Project Management Club of University of Vavuniya participated as one of the sellers in the Market event (SED Mini Fair) organized by Vavuniya District Secretariat Small Enterprise Development Unit in collaboration with Vavuniya University\u2019s Business Linkage unit on 24th May 2023 at Pambaimadhu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The club participation in the market event was a rewarding experience by small investment and profit by selling the following food and handy craft items.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Homemade Wattlappam<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ice cream<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Nungu<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hand craft things<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The event allowed students to apply the Project Management skills, gain exposure to real world business strategy scenarios and develop a deeper understanding of market dynamics. The students have observed the strategies employed by other sellers, Learnt about different pricing. Also, this exposure broadened the understanding of the market dynamics and gave valuable insights into the practical aspects of running a business with the practice of model and analyzed customer behavior.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This MINI FAIR participation has been instrumental in the academic journey and has prepared them for practical challenges. The students\u2019 selling moll system strictly adhered to all the necessary food safety and hygiene standards set by the health authorities. The students fully committed to maintaining a clean and sanitary environment, following proper food handling practices, with the quality ingredients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This was considered as one of the club\u2019s business activities in SED Mini Fair and fund-raising activities.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"su-custom-gallery su-custom-gallery-align-left
